Lightscribe CDs from Livewyre

We like to use Lightscribe CD's for Livewyre cassette to CD conversions. This gives us the opportunity to personalise your CD's in a professional-looking manner.

Normally we will just add text of your choice to the CD - but in some circumstances we will also include images where appropriate. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Lightscribe technology uses a combination of a special CD/DVD burning disc drive, and a CDR with a special coating.

The laser inside the CD/DVD disc drive with LightScribe technology focuses light energy onto a thin dye coating on the label side of the disc. Only LightScribe media has this special coating. The light from the laser causes a chemical change in the dye coating that shows up on the disc. With laser precision, the drive renders the text and images for the label.

Results are permanent and are a great improvement on having the title hand-written or printed on a messy sticky label.
